Wedding or Elopement Session: The Benefits of Repurposing Your Floral Arrangement from Ceremony to Reception
One tip that I love to give my couples when wedding planning is to repurpose their florals. This is something I’ve seen many clients do over the years and I think it’s important to discuss. Planning a wedding is a big finical commitment. So many couples like to find ways to save on cost without losing quality in their big day. This is one way I like to do that.
Let’s talk about how I’ve seen this done. During the ceremony a couple will have florals at the start of their ceremony space. These are typically set on the ground at the beginning of the aisle near the chairs. The arrangements are typically medium sized and absolutely stunning. The second set of floras during the ceremony are often placed on the arch at the end of the aisle where the couple stands. These two sets of floral arrangements can easily be moved to the reception space. The arch of flowers can be set behind the sweetheart table, or behind the newlyweds at the head table. The flowers that were on the floor can be placed at the foot of the sweetheart table or again infant of the newlyweds at the head table.
This is a great way to ensure that the floras you paid for are being used multiple times. Instead of using double the flowers to decorate the ceremony and the newlyweds table. All it takes is a simple move from one space to the next. This way you still get a beautiful arrangement of flowers without having to break the bank, it’s a win win!
