I’ve been to many styled shoots in the past, where you spend thousands of dollars, just for a few moments with the models, while you are trying to shoot around other photographers. The Shootout Society, wasn’t that AT ALL! To be honest, I was so shocked with the price point and how they had a limit to how many photographers they would allow. It was well organized, Pinterest perfect, and the group of individuals involved were just as passionate about the project as I was. This series took place in one of my favorite backdrops, Joshua Tree. What really made me want to sign up for this Moroccan themed styled shoot was because they had access to a Camel. YES!! This one aspect can really help a photographers images stand out online, so I knew I needed to be part of this experience. This shoot was a few months ago, and I am still in contact with a lot of the friendly fellow photographers. These shoots are great not just for creating content, but for networking as well.
