I instantly fell in love with this boutique hotel! The Sand Hotel & Spa is right off of Hwy 111 in Indian Wells, ironically next door to one of my favorite local dive bars. I’ve been to that bar a million times and never realized the bright pink building attached to it. The Sands hotel looks like I’ve traveled to Morocco, but still has the vintage Palm Springs charm to it. My friend Eric and I went for a fun pool day and yummy treats at Pink Cabana.

If you haven’t noticed by now, but cocktails are always a must! I ordered the Hot to Trot and Eric ordered the Pink Lemonade. Don’t worry, there was alcohol in it! I was beyond excited to see gluten free and vegetarian options! We ordered the gluten free crispy calamari, the crushed haas avocado, and the cabana maze.

It was so nice being able to sit, relax and enjoy another cocktail! Especially with a pool like this one! I don’t think i’ve seen this many cabanas before. My ADD was out of control trying to figure out where I wanted to sit. We decided to hang out in the black beds because we wanted to hide from the sun for a bit so we didn’t burn. If you forget your sunscreen, don’t worry, the Sands Hotel has your back! They have a Costco sized Sun Bum sunscreen and lotion.

This hotel would be really fun to rent out for events or even a bachelorette weekend! If you are gluten free, be sure to check out the Pink Cabana! Next time I’m in town I’ll need to come and stay here for a weekend!
