If your mission for a couples shoot through the streets of Paris is to have the Eiffel Tower in the background as much as possible, then I highly suggest these routes. These are the best places to go in Paris with the most iconic and historic backdrops of this romantic city, however you do not have to do anything that I suggest. Hopefully this helps you say, “Yes!”, to eloping in Paris!
Route 1
Lourve
Embark on a picturesque journey through the heart of Paris, capturing the essence of your love with each step. Begin your elopement photography session at the iconic Louvre, where art and romance intertwine. It’s the perfect starting point because there is a lot you can do within these few blocks, as well as wandering through the Jardin du Tuileries. Just this area alone should be enough for anyone to say, “Yes!”, to eloping in Paris.
Pont Alexandre III Bridge
If your mission is to head toward the Eiffel Tower, then continue on towards Port Alexandre III. As you stroll towards the magnificent Pont Alexandre III, let the grandeur of this ornate bridge serve as a backdrop for moments of pure connection, and whispers tales of love across the Seine River. This iconic masterpiece, adorned with exquisite sculptures and golden accents, sets the stage for a couples’ photoshoot that transcends time. Route 2
Trecadero
Discover the epitome of Parisian romance at Trocadéro, where every step is a dance, and love is captured against the backdrop of the Eiffel Tower’s iconic silhouette. The flat, panoramic view, the grandeur of the iconic staircase, and the city’s charm converge, creating the perfect canvas for your elopement photography session. Trocadéro offers not just a view, but an immersive experience that you will never forget! I do suggest beginning at Trocadéro, this place attracts people fast, but if you do go when there are a lot of people, make your way down the staircase and shoot from that angel. It will still be just at beautiful for your elopement!
Avenue de Camoens
Make your way to Avenue de Camoens, this elegant dead end with its tree-lined boulevard providing a charming backdrop for intimate moments captured in the heart of the city. Being that it is tucked between picture perfect apartment buildings, giving you the ultimate romantic Parisian experience.
Pont Alexandre III
Continue your elopement adventure to the breathtaking Pont Alexandre III, where the unique bridge frames the Eiffel Tower in all its gold and glory. What is fascinating about this bride, is that you can find so many different beautiful corners to photograph against.
Lourve Hallways
Finally you’re way to the Lourve and photograph around the pyramids, arches, and iconic hallways. There is so much around this famous museum that you can use as a chic and timeless backdrop. Truly, one could spend the entire afternoon doing their elopement photography session around the Lourve.
My Own Experience
Personally, I am all about making the elopement trip a once in a lifetime experience. Picture this, since I will be flying to Paris, we casually document as we explore The City of Love, and even designate times to specific breathtaking backdrops too. Trust me on this; I did it for my own engagement session, which felt like an elopement, and it was the greatest keepsake of my life. My now husband and I wanted to do a location scout of our wedding venue and decided to make an adventure out of the quick trip. We flew out our photographers and they were able to become familiar with the venue too. This was perfect so we did not waste time the day of the wedding, so we were able to spend quality time with our guests to flew to Italy for our wedding. We all went from Florence, to Siena, to Venice, and it was the best decision I have ever made. My husband and I look back at these images that fill our hearts with joy, and our minds are reminded of the wonderful time spent. The stories we share with family and friends with these images, are priceless and it will be the same for you! Italy is another perfect location for your elopement session too!

Think of a place in the world that the two of you want to explore, look at flights online, check out hotel or Airbnb prices, and see what it would be like to elope somewhere special. Start your journey as husband and white while on a journey. It’s the most intimate way to become husband and wife. Just remember, that eloping in Paris is always a great idea!
