Asa travel blogger, I have been able to experience amazing resorts and each time I visit, I always imagine myself coming back with a future husband. These were my top 5 favorite countries and luxurious resorts to stay at as well.

Dominican Republic

Hotel to stay at: Barcelo Occidental

Barcelo Hotel Group has many locations throughout the world, and this was in Puta Cana, Dominican Republic. I had stayed at the Barcelo Bavaro Palace, but that was more of an all inclusive family orientated property, where are the Barcelo Occidental was dedicated for adults. It was a smaller property, but had just as much life to it as the grand property. The rooms are lovely, and each with its on romantic jacuzzi tub on the balcony. This is an all inclusive resort as well. I’m not married, but I wouldn’t want to be bothered with much while on my honeymoon, and not having to worry about signing a check everyday and night would be a luxury. This resort is unique, because they have a VIP area on the property. They have their very own private pool, hotel rooms, restaurant and beach access. Another perfect reason why the Occidental should be a potential honeymoon destination. When visiting, I highly recommend setting up a boat excursion to the Soana Islands. Trust me, it’s worth the adventure!

Ireland

Hotel to stay at: Ashford Castle

This was the most unique hotel I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. The Ashford Castle in Ireland was the most royal and luxurious adventure I have ever encountered. While on my stay I kept running into this adorable couple while on their honeymoon, and I was jealous. This absolutely perfect castle sitting lakeside, where your fairytale honeymoon dream come true. If you want a royalty type of honeymoon where you sip expensive champagne pinkies up, while being waited on your hand and foot. All of the employees had perfectly tailored traditional uniforms which made you feel as if you were back in time. Out of the entire experience while on site, I still think of all the gorgeous decors throughout the castle. If you have the. money or desire to feel like a King & Queen on your honeymoon, than I HIGHLY recommend Ashford Castle.

Fiji

Hotel to stay at: Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay

If you are looking for the typical beach honeymoon, then the Fiji Marriott Resort in Momi Bay is truly ideal for you. It is a large resort, but still has the quiet sense of being a boutique hotel. The only time I really heard anyone was at the buffet for breakfast. The resort has typical deluxe hotel rooms, but they offer beach sit huts and over-the-water bungalows. These rooms are the ultimate romantic honeymoon vacation rooms. I never wanted to leave the room, so I ordered room service for almost every meal’.WHY NOT when the room is this spectacular! If you do choose to explore more of what Fiji has to offer, I highly recommend chartering a boat through the resort! Check out MalaMala Beach Club and go snorkling, have lunch, and reserve a private cabana.

‘Bali

Hotel to Stay at: Viceroy Bali

My parents celebrated their 25 wedding anniversary at the Viceroy Bali, and couldn’t shut up about it once they returned. So for my 30th birthday I had to experience this hidden gem for myself. WOW! This is my second favorite room on the list because of its layout. The room is a grand open space with a massive bathroom, and the balcony has an infinite pool that over looks the Ubud jungle. I normally hate jet lag, but waking up to the Bali jungle sunrise is breathtaking. This room was designed for never needing to leave. The grounds are beautiful and the community pool is gorgeous as well, but why leave when you can have a couples massage in your room?! My favorite feature of this luxury hotel was the helicopter pad right outside of the lobby. You can literally fly into Balis international airport and take a helicopter ride to the property’ talk about the ultimate start to. honeymoon! Be sure to explore the Monkey Forest in Ubud if you are looking for a little fun adventure. Be careful, these monkeys will steal your hats, sunglasses, or anything visible for them to grab ahold of, but still worth the visit!

St. Kitts & Nevis

Hotel to stay at: Four Seasons Resort Nevis

The Four Seasons Resort Nevis, is another exquisite honeymoon destination. St. Kitts & Nevis are two islands that are under the same government. If you are the type of person who can’t sit on the beach all day doing little to nothing, than I recommend visiting here because you are able to explore 2 islands so quickly. The property is absolutely stunning, with wild monkeys roaming around, multiple pools, beach cabanas withs hammocks, and multiple style rooms to choose from. You can select deluxe rooms, villas, or even private houses. When you have a private house, you have a private chef as well. OVER THE TOP ROMANTIC!! When you are staying at the Four Seasons, be sure to take a nice walk along the beach to Sunshine’s Beach Bar & Grill.
