Don’t laugh at me, but I discovered this place from watching the latest season of Bravo Real Housewives of Orange County. The ladies went on a trip to Cabo and had a beautiful dinner here at Acre. I had no idea that it was more than just a restaurant and instantly regretted not staying here! It was the most charming boutique hotel I have seen throughout Mexico, and fell in love with the tree houses! I’ll just have to come back because it was all worth it! After having lunch, I wandered around the property and came across not only the farm, but the animal sanctuary. I will happy support any place that rescues animals, these owners have a heart and I am here for it! Also, there was a wedding going on and it was adorable to see how they set it all up. It’s a gorgeous property for a boho, trendy wedding!
You can NEVER go wrong with a farm to table restaurant!! It’s not only healthy for you, but the quality of food is always. better. The only issue, is the menu is always changing. So if there was a dish you loved once, it may change by the next time you return. With that being said, everything I have documented may not be on Acre menu by the time you arrive, but trust me I have no doubt it will still be delicious!
I order the Ginger Mezcalita cocktail, and was tempted to order a few more! the perfect blend of smokey and spicy! speaking of smoky, I ordered the Sea of Cortez Tiradito, and the tomato dip was a delicious smokey flavor. Sounds weird, but it was actually refreshing and was a fun blast of unexpected flavor in my mouth. My favorite dish was the Catch of the Day Ceviche. Not only was it fresh and full of flavor, but I loved how colorful the dish was. Plate displays can make or break a dish…sounds bougie, but it’s true. The last thing I ordered was the Pear and Gorgonzola flat bread, because you can never go wrong with a flat bread. Honestly, I wish I ordered more food, but I had another place to be so I didn’t want to be too full. This was the perfect light and refreshing lunch!
But, there is always room for dessert! The Frozen Key Lime Pie was the best way to end this experience! Overall this restaurant was amazing, and a true hidden gem!! You should definitely make yourself a reservation when planning a trip to Cabo, Mexico!
