Let’s chat, I want to talk about Hawaii elopements. I know what you’re thinking! Paulina, Hawaii is expensive, how on earth is it attainable for everyone? I am here to tell you that it is definitely possible for you, and there’s a lot of benefits to think about. Let’s talk about the upsides to planning a Hawiian elopement.
First off Hawaii is still in the US which means the currency will not change. This is a really great benefit because your money will go as far as it would in your home state. When it comes to a European wedding with the conversion, your money doesn’t go as far. If you pick one of the Hawaiian islands as your destination, factoring in a currency conversion is not an issue.
Another area that you’ll be able to save money is florals and decor. The tropics are so beautiful. The miles of beach, beautiful palm trees, and natural foliage are stunning. There’s no need to spend a ton of money on decorations and florals, when the place you’re getting married in is already naturally stunning. Florals and decorations are an area that can eat up a lot of your budget. Finding a location that is beautiful on it’s own can help save on cost.
Now let’s discuss the weather. Hawaii is pretty much a great place to be year round. There’s no snow, or freezing rain. You don’t need to worry about a cold snap, you can be outside year round. Even when it does rain, it’s still warm and often blows over quickly! Tropical rain is very different from rain in other states. So even if you get a small storm there, it’s likely to pass quickly. Besides, they do say rain on your wedding day is good luck!
The last thing that I think is great to note about a Hawiian elopement is that it can double as a honeymoon. What better place to spend a week with your new husband or wife! The beaches, hikes, food, and sights are unmatched. It’s also great to note that Hawaii is a lot closer to Tahiti or Bora Bora than the rest of the US. This means that if Hawaii isn’t far enough for you, direct flights to the French Polynesian region are easily accessible. This helps cut down on the cost of flights if you decide to explore a little further for the honeymoon. At the end of the day if international travel isn’t your thing, Hawaii is a beautiful place to stay and hang out for a few days.
See! Aren’t you glad you stuck around until the end. There’s tons of benefits to a Hawiian elopement and it’s definitely something to consider when planning your big day!
