Are you questioning whether multiple outfits for your engagement session is worth it? Well, I am here to tell you that it’s very valuable to do more than one look. Doing at least two, but my not do more?! I tell my clients to pick locations that best describes them as a couple, and sometimes clients think of a few places, then can’t decide on which one.. So why not do them all!

Two looks is typical when doing multiple locations, and it holds a lot of value. On average, most of my clients are not in front of the camera that often. I like to consider the first look to be your “trial run”. If you are that type of person who might be more shy, then I highly suggest doing multiple looks. You can wear your more comfortable, every day outfit. This will help you subconsciously become more comfortable in front of the camera. Imagine wearing a ball gown for your first look, you’ll feel stiff and not yourself, then save that for the second look! Or, third, or even fourth look! OR, you can be like my clients here, and just go for it! We had the best time photographing their engagement session at her family’s ranch. It was so fun to shoot with her horse all around the property and end at the lake for sunset.

Who says you have to pick just one location? I have clients who request a few locations, which we would then divide into multiple days. The order in which you shoot these locations depends on a few things. If it’s a public place, like a baseball stadium, you will want to check their schedule for games. It was so fun shooting this couples engagement photos outside of the Giants Baseball stadium. We started their first, had the couple change into a second look, then shoot along the pier for a stunning sunset. 

So you see, why stress about which one outfit or location best describes your personalities, when you can do multiple. There are so many benefits to doing multiple outfits and multiple locations for your engagement session.
