Editorial imagery for couples saying "I do" across Italy — from Tuscany to Sicily.
There is no place quite like Italy for a wedding. Sun-warmed stone, ancient cypresses, candlelit piazzas, hand-rolled pasta on a long farmhouse table, the sound of bells from a hilltop chapel — Italy is a country built for romance, and an Italian wedding is a story you'll tell your grandchildren.
I'm Paulina — an award-winning international wedding photographer creating editorial, story-driven imagery for couples and families across Italy and beyond. Whether you're planning a Tuscan villa wedding, a coastal Sicilian celebration, an intimate Venetian elopement, or a grand Florentine affair, I'm here to make sure your photographs feel as timeless and atmospheric as the country itself.
With Paulina Perrucci as your Destination Wedding Photographer
Italy is one of the most extraordinary places in the world to get married — and one of the most extraordinary places to be photographed. The light here is famously soft and golden. The architecture is layered with centuries of history. The food and wine slow everyone down in the best possible way. It's a country that already knows how to be beautiful — your wedding photographs almost write themselves.
Italian weddings have an unhurried, cinematic rhythm. Long lunches bleed into golden hour. Candlelit dinners stretch past midnight. Late-night portraits unfold in olive groves or on cobblestone streets. There's time for the kind of imagery a tightly scheduled domestic wedding rarely allows. There's time and space for the kind of imagery that doesn't happen at a tightly scheduled domestic wedding.
Italy is full of breathtaking places to get married. From the Tuscan countryside to the Sicilian coast, here are the regions I serve and the venues I love most:
Tuscany is the iconic Italian wedding destination, for good reason. Cypress avenues, vineyards, frescoed villas, and that famous Val d'Orcia light. Couples celebrate at storied estates like Villa di Geggiano and Il Borro, both near Siena and Arezzo. The Tuscan countryside rewards slow, layered, atmospheric storytelling. Exactly the kind of imagery this region was made for.
Florence is Italy's Renaissance crown jewel. The Duomo, the Arno, the Ponte Vecchio. Frescoed palazzo ballrooms, hidden courtyards, and rooftop terraces. Couples come here for beauty layered with centuries of history. Florence weddings carry that beauty in every frame.
Venice is one of the most romantic places on earth. Narrow canals, weathered palazzo doors, gondolas at golden hour. The particular quiet of early morning before the city wakes. Venice is unmatched for intimate weddings, elopements, and portrait sessions. Nothing else in the world looks or feels like it.
Sicily is Italy at its most wild and cinematic. Dramatic coastlines, baroque cities, sun-bleached limestone, and Mediterranean light. From Taormina and Noto to the streets of Palermo, Sicily brings its own kind of romance. Coastal cliffs, citrus groves, candlelit cloisters. A culture that throws itself into celebration.
Lake Como is one of Italy's most iconic wedding destinations. Mirror-still water, mountain backdrops, and centuries-old lakefront villas. Couples celebrate at legendary venues like Villa del Balbianello, Villa Erba, Villa Pizzo, and Villa d'Este . Lake Como weddings have a film-still, cinematic quality that's nowhere else in Italy.
Italy is enormous, and every region has its own rhythm. The Amalfi Coast is dreamy from end to end: Positano, Ravello, Amalfi, Praiano, and Sorrento. Portofino, just down the Italian Riviera from Monaco, brings coastal elegance to every frame. Other dream destinations include Puglia, Lake Garda, Cinque Terre, Rome, Capri, Sardinia, and Lucca.
My work blends editorial elegance with documentary storytelling. Expect unhurried portraits in golden Italian light. Candid frames of real laughter and real tears. The quiet, observed details: the handwritten vows tucked in a pocket. The dress catching morning light in the window. The wind catching a veil on a hillside. I work calmly and discreetly. My presence lets you forget the camera is there. You stay in the moment with the people you love.
I photograph with an editorial eye but a documentary heart. The result feels both elevated and deeply personal. Wedding photographs you'll still want hanging on your walls in twenty years.

Most couples choose May, June, September, or October. Warm without being hot, with long golden-hour evenings. July and August are stunning but warmer. Winter weddings in Tuscany or Florence can be magical and quieter.
Travel arrangements vary by collection and destination. Some couples include flights and accommodations in the package. Others coordinate directly with their venue or room block. We'll figure out what works best for your wedding during our consultation.
Both are options. Many international couples handle their legal paperwork at home and have a symbolic ceremony in Italy. It's often simpler and equally meaningful. Others choose to navigate Italy's legal process, which involves Italian consulate paperwork and varies by commune. Whichever route you choose, I photograph the day exactly as it unfolds.
Italy weddings, particularly in peak season (May to October), are typically booked 9 to 18 months in advance. Reach out as early as you can to lock in your date.
If you're dreaming of a wedding somewhere in Italy, I'd love to hear from you. If you've already booked your villa, your palazzo, your seaside ceremony, even better. Let's tell its story.
