A wedding as sweet as honey…

To begin with, I’m so excited to share that this small, luxurious San Diego wedding was recently featured on Style Me Pretty. Full of heart, intention, and modern trends, this destination wedding was indeed a true celebration of love, culture, and creativity.

Unique Pearl & Bee Decor

For their ceremony, the couple exchanged vows on a circular stage just steps from the beach shoreline. Surrounded by breezy wildflower-inspired florals and soft coastal tones, the setting struck the perfect balance between whimsical and elegant. Honestly, I was absolutely obsessed with this custom build. More importantly, it was the perfect way to elevate the couple in front of the most gorgeous scenic backdrop.

Furthermore, the dinner reception carried the same floral tones, but this time with a more personal twist of pearls and bees. For instance, everything from their wedding invitations and wedding cake to the smallest details on the tablescape carried that same theme. In fact, this was a precious detail combination I had never photographed before.

Timeless & Trendy Fashion

As for her gown, the bride wore a show-stopping Millia London dress that surely had a WOW factor. With its long train and dramatic backless design, the gown created some of the most romantic moments of the entire day. In all my years as a destination wedding photographer, it remains one of my favorite wedding dresses I have ever photographed. Surprisingly, you’d never expect to see this kind of bold gown at a beach wedding, which made it especially fun to capture.

In addition to her gown, the standout feature was her bouquet. After asking the florist to use only calla lilies wrapped in pearls, the bride ended up with something that felt both timeless and dripping in quiet luxury. Talk about drama! Above all, this was a bride truly focused on wowing her guests and standing out as one of a kind.

Overall, I had the most wonderful time capturing this wedding day and working with this lovely couple. Of course, it’s always fun when a bride pays attention to details, and this one cared about every single one. Ultimately, from the ceremony layout to the soft, organic textures in the reception decor, this intimate destination wedding was a true showcase of current wedding trends and one-of-a-kind design.
